2006 The Peace with Earth inaugural year was a creative pursuit between MOZI Designs & Oliveria. Similar business values, work ethics and a complimentary product offering brought these two young and dedicated companies together to successfully launch Peace with Earth.
Drawing inspiration from unique cultures around the world, MOZI Designs offers bright, bold and quality products that reflect our lifestyle today. Oliveria is a specialty food business based in Prahran, Melbourne that sources the finest quality extra virgin olive oils along with a wide range of gourmet foods.
The Peace with Earth 2006 design is a stylized image of olive branches, drawing particular inspiration from ancient Greek olive motifs. For centuries the olive tree has been a symbol of peace, goodwill and understanding and these themes are continued in the 2006 design.
The charitable support initiative chosen for 2006 was Earthwatch Australia.
The Earthwatch Institute is an international non-profit organisation founded in Boston, USA. Earthwatch engages people worldwide in scientific field research and education to promote the understanding and action necessary for a sustainable environment.
Earthwatch Australia was established in Melbourne in 1982. Its objective is to expand support for field research in Australia and the Asia Pacific region and to promote increased public awareness of scientific research and conservation through participation in Earthwatch programs. |
